PV Days 2025: Exchange, Inspiration, and Perspectives for Photovoltaics
Around 65 experts from research, industry, plant operation, insurance, and energy supply gathered in Halle on November 12 and 13 to discuss key challenges and opportunities in photovoltaics. The PV Days showed that in times of international competitive pressure, political uncertainty, and technological upheaval, there is a growing need for personal exchange and close cooperation between research and practice.
The sessions presented innovative approaches to quality assurance, data-based analyses, and sustainable solutions.
The most important results of the conference are summarized below:
➡️ Material standards and transparency: Uniform standards and traceable material data are crucial for the quality, durability, and recyclability of PV modules.
➡️ Data-based quality assurance: Reliable measurement data and intelligent analyses form the basis for efficient operation, risk management, and predictive maintenance.
➡️ Digital innovation: AI-supported processes and new key performance indicators such as the Sensor Health KPI open up new avenues for precise fault diagnosis and performance optimization.
➡️ Sustainability and circular economy: Material passports and scalable recycling processes are key to recovering valuable raw materials and making the PV industry circular.
The positive response and enthusiastic participation of attendees show that PV Days is not only a forum for technical dialogue and networking, but also an important catalyst for concrete cooperation and innovation in the PV industry.
Save the date now: The next edition of PV Days will take place on November 11-12, 2026.
